I am here to tell you that you don’t have to let your school dictate how you have your senior photos taken! By booking a senior photo session with Joanna Ng Photography, you will get a thoroughly planned photoshoot with you in mind. No basic poses with a black drape or fake backdrop! Your photoshoot will be planned to fit you, your personality, and your vision. You can pick the session option that is right for you, from the Chic Session to the Style Session or even a Destination Session. Each has unique things to offer, and one will be perfect for you!

We will work together to plan your shoot’s details, including what to wear, the locations that help tell your story and work with your style, and the prints and products that show off your images! The most important piece of our Senior Portrait Experience is fun! I will make sure that we laugh a lot, and the session will be a memory you will have for years to come. Don’t stress about not knowing exactly how to pose in front of the camera. That’s what I am there for to help you pose in the most flattering positions that look natural and make you feel confident. We will do a combination of candid shots and poses that highlight your natural movements. I will show you exactly what to do and direct you to make sure you look effortless, confident, and beautiful.

SESSION PREP

I will send you tons of information to help you prepare for your senior photoshoot and be in communication with you leading up to your shoot day! You won’t be stressed over what to wear, what to bring, or how to make the most of your session day because I will provide all the prep information you need. I want you to arrive at your shoot confident in what you have chosen to wear, know precisely what to bring to your shoot, and be excited about the plan we came up with together.

NATURAL LOOKING EDITING THAT SHOWCASES YOU

Every image is hand-edited with my unique editing style that showcases you. My editing style includes crips, bold images that are not overly edited and showcase real colors. I will get rid of blemishes or distracting objects in the background, but never over-process or over-edit images that make you look like someone you are not. Your skin will look like your skin, the colors in the photo will be true to what they are in real life, and you will be the focus of the image, not the editing.

HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS TO DISPLAY YOUR IMAGES

I offer prints, products, canvases, and albums from the best photo lab. The color and quality will be unlike anything you can get from a drug store or online consumer lab. I believe images should be displayed and seen, so I offer options to make sure you get something that you and your family will cherish forever. I also offer digital images, as I know that is a popular item that allows seniors to share their images.

Style Consultation

The Style Consultation is a chance for us to meet and discuss what you want from your session. We will plan your outfits, and you can access the Style Closet. We will discuss hair and makeup, as well as locations and props! This meeting is an essential step in planning your custom senior experience! You will come to my house bringing clothing options you are thinking about wearing, and we will go through them together to determine the best look for your session. We will talk about your personality and personal style, vision for your senior session, the clothing and accessories to wear for your shoot, the locations to help your vision come to life, And more to make sure we plan your shoot specifically for you! The Style Consultation allows us to prepare everything before your session day so that we can have some fun and capture your photos!

Locations to Fit Your Style

As your photographer, I suggest locations that will reflect your style, work with your wardrobe, and provide the best lighting. Lighting is the most crucial factor when it comes to an area. Locations also help set the tone and vibe of your session. You don’t have to worry about where to take your photos because I have many options.

City Locations

A city location is a great location that provides lots of variety! From buildings to sidewalks to garages and more, a city location will offer many options for backdrops in your senior photos. A city location works best for seniors who love showing off their urban side. Outfits that look great in city locations are those that are fashion-forward.

NATURE LOCATIONS

A nature location is great for those who love natural, earthy elements. If you love being outside, this is the location for you! A nature location works best for a senior who loves flowy dresses and casual outfits. Maxi dresses or short-flowing dresses look great in a field or other nature location. Other good options are jeans or shorts with fun tops that show your style.

A senior session that includes a location that is specific to you is always a great option. Unique to you, locations include your high school or sports field, where you spend a lot of time, and even your own home, which can be the perfect location for your senior photos. Think of a spot that means a lot or represents something you loved to do in high school. We can use that location to tell your story through your senior photos.
